Payment and Refund Policy

Scope of the Policy and Covered Services

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital resources, course access, and related professional materials offered through stagezenix. The policy covers studio production in motion resources including equipment setup guides, dynamic camera operation modules, lighting and sound wave training, and workflow optimisation for television news and live shows. It governs transactions made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, contracts formed, and refunds handled. The policy does not cover physical goods or services delivered outside the digital platform.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Prices include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. No hidden charges apply to standard access purchases. Additional fees may arise only where a customer selects optional add-ons such as extended access periods or personalised consultation sessions. Currency conversion fees charged by the customer's bank or card issuer remain the customer's responsibility. Prices are subject to change but confirmed orders lock in the displayed price at the time of purchase.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

Accepted methods include major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon order submission. All transactions are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. stagezenix does not store full card details. Customers receive an email confirmation once payment is authorised. Any declined payment results in the order being placed on hold until resolved.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A contract forms when the customer completes the checkout process and receives an order confirmation email. This email details the purchased resource, access period, total amount paid, and applicable terms. Until confirmation is sent, no binding agreement exists. Access credentials are issued only after successful payment verification. Customers should retain the confirmation email for their records.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers in the United Kingdom generally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation. Cancellation within this period entitles the customer to a full refund provided no substantial access to the digital content has occurred. Once a customer begins streaming or downloading materials, the right to cancel may be lost for that portion of the content.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for unused access periods cancelled within the cooling-off window. Exclusions apply to content already accessed or downloaded, promotional bundles where the discount was conditional on full commitment, and subscriptions after the first billing cycle has started. Non-refundable items also include customised training materials prepared specifically for an individual customer. Technical issues caused by the customer's own equipment or internet connection do not qualify for refund.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, the customer must submit a written request via the contact form on the Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. The request must include the order number, date of purchase, reason for cancellation, and confirmation that no substantial content has been accessed. Requests should be made within the applicable time limits. stagezenix acknowledges receipt within two working days and provides a reference number for tracking.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Each refund request undergoes review to verify eligibility. stagezenix inspects access logs to confirm whether materials were used. Approval or rejection is communicated by email within ten working days. If rejected, the email explains the specific reason and any options for appeal. Approved refunds proceed to processing without further action from the customer.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically completes within five to seven working days after approval, though bank processing may extend total time to fourteen days. Customers receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated. For bank transfers, additional verification steps may be required before funds are released.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital content access begins immediately upon purchase, limiting cancellation rights once use commences. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers such as introductory discounts are non-refundable after the initial period. Customers may downgrade or cancel future renewals at any time through their account settings, with changes taking effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments trigger an automatic notification and temporary suspension of access. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and corrected within seven days. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in account review or termination. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate order cancellation and reporting to relevant authorities where required by law.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect any statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, or Payment Services Regulations. Customers retain the right to claim for faulty digital content or misleading descriptions regardless of this policy. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
